If you wanted only one book on Italian cookery you couldn't do much better than this.
Another book from the prolific Anna Del Conte it carries on her introductory style of preamble that Elizabeth David did so well.
I would have given 5* 's but for the lack of illustrations.
When you are cooking a dish that is new to you it's helpful sometimes to see what it should look like when presented. I don't mean that I need to see a photo of a bowl of soup, but the more complicated or glamourous dishes could
