Recommends it for: mermaids!
such a cute quick read! great for my hour train ride. i finished in about 20 minutes and it was a nice little pick me up. we have to read kiddy things once in awhile to stay young.:)

The third book in the Mermaid SOS series is just as sweet as the others. No, it's not earth-shatteringly great literature, but it's a nice story of friendship that isn't overly sentimental or saccharine, nor inappropriately edgy and sassy. In this book, the mermaids help save a mother and baby dolphin, and learn about gill nets. The gill nets aren't presented as absolutely awful for the ocean ecosystem as they actually are, but the book still gets the point across. I've been reading this series...more

Sophie and her friends have to help Silver's mom get out of a net. Scarlett and Sophie have to go get her family, her sisters and brothers. Holly and Lucy have to keep get air to Silver's blow hole to keep her breathing. Misty and Ellie have to get something sharp to cut the net.

Much more suited for kids rather than their mother, I suppose
