This is one of the best biographies I have ever read. Hoidal reveals in exhaustive detail exactly who Quisling was and what his programs and strategies were for ruling Norway as its Fascist dictator. It is somewhat farcical when the reader realizes how ineffective Quisling actually was. He persuaded the Germans to take over Norway, hoping they would give him control and they never did.
