Great book! Has birds from all over the wold. Color photos of hundreds and hundreds of birds. Every bird featured has a small blurb about it including conservation status and region where it is found. The book is organized by habitat rather than taxonomy or region. (all birds that live in rainforests are lumped together rather than birds found in Africa or raptors). Not a very detailed book but definitely fun to look through.
Beautiful book. It looks like something that should just sit on your coffee table, but it opens into more of an oversized reference/guidebook. The first two chapters on bird anatomy, behavior, habitats, etc. were nicely done and the species accounts were interesting. I found myself wishing there were more North American birds, but it was fun to see some familiar faces from Asia.
