Back then he'd been her Gabriel, an angel who'd fallen just for her. Now he was the Bayou Beast, the ultimate fighter, the savvy entrepreneur, a predator with a barely banked rage burning in his eyes.

Even though I've recently grown an aversion to any book that contains the word 'millionaire' or 'billionaire' in the title, I can't pass this series up. It's a guilty pleasure for me. A short, well written, quick paced and sexy read that never fails to deliver. I love that each book ha

OMG, I really liked this one.

Gabriel Devereaux is a professional cage fighter and billionaire entrepreneur, who likes to do a little down and dirty street fighting on the side just for kicks. For ten years Gabe has been working towards getting revenge on the man that attempted to ruin his life and that man's daughter, the woman he believes broke his heart. Now he finally has the chance.

Oh my...I want a Gabriel. He was amazingly hot and he made me cry. I loved Karina too. She was perfect for him. I didn't read the previous books in this series and was not lost at all. This was just a great, quick read. The only thing it was missing was an amazing epilogue.

Having read book one in this series, I was interested to read book 3 when I saw it up on NetGalley and I think I enjoyed this instalment even more. I'm definitely going to have to go back and read book 2 at some point though as even though the books are standalone, I don't want to miss out.

This book was a fast-paced and quick, easy read. Its story flows well and a lot happens for a 90 page novella. I didn't think the plot would take the turns it d

For those who don’t know, “quickie” is the term given to a sexual romp that is exactly that – quick. It is to the point, exciting and usually quite intense. And it is often more animalistic and lust-driven than regular “romantic” sex.

unsure if this one was more predictable than the previous two, or if it's simply that reading the previous two books gives you a pretty good understanding of how this one's going to progress.

Do not let the cover or the length of this book fool you. When you read the first page you will be drawn into a world of cage fighting, lost love and revenge. I fell for Gabriel the moment that author explained what he did with the money he earned on side fights. He was a strong, sexy man who went for what he wanted and was determined to win every battle he was in. His current reason for living was to go seek revenge on the man that tried to ruin everything he had built and if that meant taking ...more

Well, I think Take Down is my favourite of the Billionaire's Club: New Orleans series. In the previous two books nothing much was given away about Gabriel, he was very much a man of mystery who seemed to have quite a dark, intense personality. It seemed to me something must have occurred to cause him to be this stand-offish, distant guy but there was never a hint to what that could have been in the first two books so I was really eager to get stuck into this third book. This book really lived up t ...more

5 Stars the best one in the series!

Everyone thinks Gabriel doesn't believe in love and relationships; what they don't know is there is a woman who he once loved so deeply he is convinced he can never love again.

Gabriel is the roughest of the trio of heroes in this series. He is a fighter in every sense of the word; and as with all good heroes he also has a softer side. One that almost made me melt. Karina is the most confident out of the heroines and definitely my favorite. I liked her take cha

Either Gabriel has some major self control or the boy is just stupid when it comes to Kari, "the temperature's dropping," he said, taking a step back from her. "For both our sakes, we should join the others in the dining room for dessert." I loved how when Kari was feeling pain Gabriel wanted to do damage to the one that caused it, "she'd been crying. Anger swamped him as he took notice of the tears drying on her cheeks, the way she hugged herself as if trying to contain the pain. The urge to fi ...more

Thankfully (or not) this isn't. What Take Down is: a sweet novella about two reunited lovers whose past is almost tragic.

This is a novella. Ugh. There should be a warning on these books if it's under, say, 200 pages. Maybe 150 pages. I hate to get involved with a couple of characters only to have their story be finished a couple of chapters later. Having said that, this was still a pretty good read.

Take Down is an intense and quick read about second chances. Two people unknowingly pushed apart by outside sources. Two broken hearts. One took out his anger with his fists. The other took out her anger in the form of lyrics. Neither realized that nothing could hold back the electricity between them, not even a decade.

Take Down by Mallery Malone is the third installment of her The Billionaire's Club: New Orleans series and it was a decent read although I prefer the previous two installments over this one. What I love about this e-series is that they all have one recurring theme and that is a second chance at love with the one that got away.

I love a good book about second chance love and Take down didn’t disappoint. This is a long lost teenage love, and it was such a great quick read that took me away for a few hours.

Gabriel is amazingly hot and he made me cry on more than one occasion, the hurt and pain he went through as a young adult, why are some people so cruel?

I love a book about a fighter, and I have thoroughly enjoyed the entire Billionaire's Club series by Ms Malone.

And I just adored Gabriel Devereaux. What is not to love about him. I loved the way he went for what he wanted, and what he has always wanted was his Kari.

It is hard in a novella length story to convey the whole story without it seeming rushed or that we are missing huge parts of the plot, but this is not the case w

Take Down appeared to be just another Billionaire story at first and while I'm not fond of this sub genre of stories, the second chance romance and revenge aspect appealed to me so I decided to give it a shot. From the synopsis you gather that the two have a history, and they do. A couple once upon a time, the two were broken up by unknown forces at the time. Now that they both have separate careers and lives they are brought together by Gabriel's need for revenge but his long thought

I enjoyed Gabriel and Karinas story but I wanted to see a but more angst. Gabriel could have played the bad boy a bit longer too. I think he gave in to Karina much to easily seeing as he was the beast. It didn't seem to coincide with the terror he caused in the ring. This is the third in the series but can most certainly be read as a stand alone. It is a short story of less than 90 pages so it is a quick read but yet a sweet read. Gabriel is a fighter and has a vendetta against Karina and her father. Karina doesn’t understand why Gabriel left her without a word a decade before.

This story as well as the rest of the series is well written and an enjoyable quick read. Great stories to have between novels for a little rom

I have read all the books in this series and this one was my favorite by far. Gabriel is such a strong man who you can totally see protecting you from anything but then Karina comes back in his life and she is a strong person to, but they both have a vulunerble side to them that comes out with each other. Both of them wind up saving each other and the fact that they both stick up for each other is a most romantic thing a writer can include in their books.
