Absolutely loved this picture book! Illustrations were wonderful and the story lively and entertaining.
The concept behind this book is a really cute one. I can see children being really curious about what Santa does when he isn't delivering presents. However, I didn't find the poems quite up to snuff. Each poem addresses one of the eleven months outside of December and what Santa is doing during that time. But the poems don't seem to quite connect to each other. I'm rarely a fan of the rhyming children's book (Seuss excluded), but this one works. The things Santa gets up to are funny (but don't hurt his image). The illustrations are rich and hilarious.

The first read started all sorts of conversations among my 2 & 5 yr old audience. We'll be reading this again (and again...)
