Most enjoyed the very first poem in the book, "Gardener, As Seen From Above," which closes:

a slave to earth. Abandoned from above.
It's true. We cannot keep her from herself.

There's a texture to the poems that is simple and just slightly rough, slough-y, in spots - I loved the sound and feel of many of these poems, but didn't find myself getting drawn into their messages. I wanted to read out loud through at least half of the book - there's lots of internal music to get involved with. Alas, I did
