Is THAT what I just read?
I'm curious. Which one of these stories gets to you. Which one is it that makes you go, "No. Freaking. Way. That's just—!!??!!!" Insert choice expression. For me, at some point during the story, every one of them did. Call me crazy (oh, pun intended) but I LOVED it!

Now, one thing is for an author to bury herself so deep into the twisted psyches of the characters so as to pull me in and bring me along for the ride. Another is to do so in an accurate, skillful way. With li

Stephen King, move over and meet Logan Keys. Logan, Stephen, Stephen, Logan.

I must say Hush Now, Jeremy Bogggs gave me the "WHOA!" face. Oh, yes it did. To the point I had to put down my Kindle and think about it for awhile. The way Keys pulls you in in such a short period of time is nothing short of amazing. From the first sentence, you're on a ride, and there's no stops along the way. You just have to hold on tight until the very end.

Violent Delights reminded me of the short st

I might be sleeping with the light on for a few days ... Not because of the monsters that seek us at after midnight, but because of the monsters that reside deep inside each and every one of us.

In this short collection of terrifying tales, Logan Keys explores the darkness of the human psyche. Whether it's a darkness we're forced to draw on, a darkness we create, a darkness forced upon us or a darkness that we're born with. In these four incredibly different tales you'll be drawn into worlds so i

I waited in anticipation for the release of Unhinged, and it was worth the wait. In Unhinged, Logan Keys gives us a glimpse of the scariest monsters of all; people.

Without spoilers, I will say that Unhinged has accomplished the nearly impossible in capturing the reader's attention in a short space without resulting to lurid sex or torture-porn. Yes, there is grue aplenty, but Logan Keys seems to understand that nothing she can show the reader will ever compare with what the reader can imagine,

I thought this little compilation was great, I thought the writing and imagery were fantastic. My favorite story was, "The Last Rainbow," and truth be known, it was almost responsible for my whole apartment complex burning down. I set a pot of water to boil on the stove and got so enthralled by this story that I completely forgot about the water and burned my pan up. (Thanks a lot, Ms. Keys, that was my favorite pan.) I love the light she shows in such deep and troubling darkness in that story. ...more

It's been a long time since I've read horror, even though I love the genre. I was pretty much raised on Stephen King, Dean Koontz, and Clive Barker, so it has to be really "ugh" to creep me out. "Unhinged" is a series of chilling short stories that leaves you wanting more. There were two stories, in particular, that made me wish they were full length novels. I look forward to reading more from this author.

Not what I normally read, but I loved it! If you like Tales from the Dark side, you will enjoy this book. This was a nice break from my usual genre; sometimes you just need a taste of something new ;)
I usually enjoy dark movies, but I have never really read any dark books, I am totally looking forward to reading more from this author!

Logan Keys takes you on a guided tour of the dark recesses of the human psyche. The writing is sharp and compelling, prodding you forward when your instincts are screaming "turn back!" This is an awesome collection of short stories.

Clever: a collection of short stories bathed in horror. People are not as they appear and some are the horrors that lurk behind closed doors, whispering terrors to come.

Unhinged
By Logan Keys

I came into the digital acquaintance of Logan Keys through my association with another independent author of note, Holly M. Kothe. After a short period of correspondence, I was given permission to preview her upcoming debut, a compilation of short horror stories, simply called Unhinged.

Unhinged is a bleak foray into the stygian depths of humanity’s nastier aspects. These peeks into the darker nature of our species consist of four rather horrific, but brief tales. These are n

I enjoyed these stories for the most part. A few were incredibly depressing but still very good. Eh, I'll just up my Prozac dose for today! Lol! Yep, I'd recommend this book and author. I plan on looking up more stories from her.

Logan began writing horror and poetry early in life but she says young-adult dystopian is the next best thing. She's currently living on the Island of Oahu in Hawaii with her husband, daughter, and fur-child Lola. Even though it's a tropical setting, her writing remains the same moody narrative she's always enjoyed.
