My father abandoned me when I was an infant.
My friends have turned against me.
My uncle beats me.
The most powerful sapients in the world want me dead.
They all have one thing in common.
They think I'm turning into a monster.

I'm starting to worry they're right.

I think the copy I read was parts 1 and 2. In the intro he said that originally when he published part 1, people were upset that it was a cliffhanger. Therefore he combined the 2 parts, so there would be no cliffhanger because he hated them. The story was confusing and I never did really figure out what was going on, but I plugged through to see if the end tied it up. It did not, it was a cliff hanger. I was disgusted. I would not have spent the time if I realized it was not a complete story. ...more

Maybe I have rated this book too high but I think it was a really good concept and I really enjoyed reading it. The main issue, apart from grammatical errors, was that because of Evan's inability to tell reality from imagination, it was a bit hard to follow the story at times. It would be far more enjoyable if certain points were a little more clear.

I didn't really enjoy this book much at all. It was kind of trippy. A lot to keep track of in the story, and some creepy characters.
