I am rather disappointed with this book after reading his History of Scotland which was informative, interesting and presented a slightly different slant on both Scottish and English history. Although it doesn't say so, this is the second part of the History of France, and since Scott did not complete it himself, it is much less polished than the other histories. So far I would say it is not worth the time to read.
