There were some really great ideas in this book. Like I've been trying to get my cockatiel into eating veggies and this book suggested that I make them into toys for the cockatiel instead of just putting them in a bowl or on a plate. I've already started to leave "carrot rings" hanging on the side of his cage for a few hours and after he got over the initial hissing scared phase, he's actually nibbled on them a little.

Very cool book.

This is on the top-five of parrot books I have read. Barron's has put out quite a few really insightful ones. This is geared towards someone who has already selected a parrot and is preparing or finds themselves in a heap of shit (literally) because they can't communicate with their feathered friend. It's easy to read, really well-constructed, so you can find the parts of the book that speak to you and your problem, and -- well, you should just get it and read it.
