This book is written in such away that it can be read as a stand alone or after the first book of the series- The Guardian. After so much more loss Adela finds herself in the middle of a love triangle and the fight for the head of Covens.

Adela and John both have their fair share of choices to make. Adela must think of her coven, but at the same time she feels a burning des

As the review from The Telegraph states although Choices is a part of a series, it stands alone remarkably well. This is helpful for me as I hadn’t read the previous books, but I was able to pick up the story easily.

The love relationship between Adela, John and Gala, along with Adela’s wish to protect Gala, makes for some very exciting passages throughout. The story is well paced, neither to slow or to fast, and paints such clear pictures that it is very easy to imagine the story to be real.

A Great Choice for a Paranormal Read
This is the first chance I've had to read anything by this author, and seeing as how it's the second in a series I had my trepidations, but the blurb was just do catchy I had to give it a shot. I wasn't disappointed, I really didn't feel as though I was missing out on anything. There is a lot going in in this book. Our main character Adela is a very powerful vampire and she has some very tough choices to make, well duh right? I find it a bit difficult to revie

Choices is a surprising read; however, there is a language issue I address after all the good stuff first.

At the opening scene, we find Adela, a powerful ancestral vampire, in a castle picking her way through the remnants of a tremendous battle that was waged at the end of book two, Adela.

And we are introduced to a world where vampires are protected by werewolf Guardians against first-born (or ancient) vampires. Included in this fascinating ancient lore are Druids, the first-born vampires that

I must start out by saying I loved, loved Priest. What an amazing character one I would love to see a book based on. He was a bad ass vampire hunter, who actually worked with a vampire called Adela. I found his character realistic even though he was human he didn’t lack in any skills compared to the vampires. His movements often quieter, his hearing better. I rooted for Priest throughout the book and enjoyed every moment of reading from h

Choices is an interesting story about a vampire coven that is in danger because a past coven member stole a book that others want. Also, the coven’s leader, Adela, is becoming the strongest vampire in the world and wants to unite the covens. As it says in the author’s blurb about the book, this can be read as a

I truly enjoyed reading this book. The author makes the story so believable and the characters are in depth. Although this is the second book in this series the book read well as a stand alone. You never feel that you are missing out on anything, and that is a super plus for me! I honestly feel that the author did a swell job by making the characters as in depth as they are along with a nicely timed pace. This book is recommended for all those that enjoy a good love story with some par

This was another good book by J L McFadden. Once I began reading it, I was anxious to see what happened next. The pages kept turning with all the action packed in this book. You really need to read book 1 of this series to completely understand what is going on.

John is still further developing his powers as guardian. He is at a loss for how to deal with

I received a free copy of this book in exchange for an honest review when I signed up to host the book tour. I made no guarantee of a favorable review.

Though this book can be read as a stand alone; as it does work rather well by itself, I recommend that you read The Guardian first. I truly enjoyed reading this book.

Adela is a powerful vampire that has suffered an abundance of losses and is now caught up in a romantic love triangle with John and Gala. The story line and characters

I loved this book!!!! The twists and turns and suspense kept me on the edge of my seat...and the smattering of adult content was very well done.... I was so disappointed when I came to the end of "Choices"....I am holding my breath for the next installment!

John is devoted to the lady, destiny has guaranteed is his, nonetheless he catches himself compellingly drawn in the direction of Adela, who he trusts is enticing him with her control over him. Confronted by numerous problematic situations during his time, he and Adela, are on no account unfamiliar to hardship. Adele hasn’t let go of the fiery longing for John. He will make his verdict, between Gala and Adela. There is masked threats waiting in the obscurities, and Adela senses she has to guard

I have received this book in exchange of an honest review.
This book surprised me and I ended up really enjoying it. It really can be read as a standalone without the reader getting lost in the story.
I think the author did a great job creating an imaginative world with characters who clearly love each other and are willing to protect and do a lot for each other.
The book is nicely written and the characters are very well-developed and interesting.

Wow! This book was unlike any vampire book ive ever read! It was utterly fascinating! I really hope theres more because I'm very curious to learn more about these characters! Full of action and some of the most incredible naughty scenes that will have your body on fire! but the power that these characters wield is crazy impressive and the lead character is female! She was absolutely everything you could want in a strong female lead. I highly enjoyed this story I hope to see more of these books! ...more

I won this book as part of a Goodreads Giveaway. the writing was stilted in places. Some pages was printed twice. The book need to be proofread better as there were punctuation, wrong choice of words and spelling errors. The concept of the book was fine but the ending was forced and adding the extra chapter should have been included in the story line not a tag on. Too much information was imparted to the reader and the it was difficult to follow the links at times
