Una mirada de la cultura occidental, junto con un análisis de discurso del poder. Me encanta. Awww, el origen de la psiquiatría... ¿Cómo surgió la enfermedad mental se clasificaron en los tiempos pre-modernos, y algunos de los tratamientos más inesperados a la enfermedad mental. Es un libro Re-Re-comendable.

Largo recorrido ha tenido la locura hasta estos momentos. Foucault nos traza en este primer tomo, una serie de momentos más o menos reconocibles históricamente, del encierro al exilio, a la clasificación y la negación, la locura ha transitado por espacios que le son ajenos, en tanto que ha sido el discurso racional quien ha tratado de entenderla, y para esto, necesariamente tendría que encajar al objeto en el orden de su discurso.

Francamente dificil de leer. Foucault usa un lenguaje francamente florido que roza en la pomposidad. El libro contiene ideas interesantes, pero el estilo del autor lo hace excesivamente prolijo.
