A Great Read!

This is not a genre I would normally pick to read – in fact only last year I refused to edit a friend’s book on a similar one. However, much to my surprise, I was very quickly hooked. A continuation from the first book this book concentrates on the further adventures of Spartacus and a close and loyal band. This book is perhaps darker than the previous with misfortune befalling many of the would be heroes. I was delighted to see the author maintain the standards he set within the first novel.

The ending seemed a little rushed for me if I'm going to be honest, awesome storyline though. I can't wait for more!

One of these, intent on erasing the upstarts, sends an assassin after them.

A single person, however determined, would have little chance agai

In this, the second volume in the Spartacus series, Rome is controlled by two powerful men, Pompey, the patron and boss of Cassian and Crassus who wants Cassian dead for what transpired in volume one. Thus, Crassus sets his most ruthless killer upon Cassian and anyone who is part of his family or who works for him. What the author does with that as the main story line is provide you, dear reader, with a non-stop, vivid story of action and dramatic turns of events. Flabinius, the hired assassin, ...more
