If you like Indonesia and want to get a deeper insight, I highly recommend you reading this book. I really enjoyed it. It's not only an adventure story of a few crazy guys doing a trip through Kalimantan but also the very personal experiences of the author which tell you a lot more about the Indonesian cultures and religions than you'd imagine. An easy to read east to west journey across the large island of Indonesian Borneo. In the company of a small group of westerners, they journey by river and track up and over the divide, with a little help and hindrance from some of the locals. The author is a Tasmanian who has fallen in love with Indonesia. You want to visit Indonesia? So you have to read this book. It's really awesome. You get an overview of Indonesia. It's fully packed with insider informations and wrapped inside an adventure. I absolutely recommend this book!
