I recently read THE MISTAKEN HEIRESS by Shelba Shelton Nivens. I believe this is her first full-length novel. It is a Heartsong Presents book published by Love Inspired Books.

I must say I was pleasantly surprised! I seldom read romance unless it is romantic suspense. I find many romance stories to lack substance and/or be what a friend calls "beach reads." I loved this story - the charecters were wonderful! It was beautiful how the Lord had just the right person in place, to fill her heart and to be there to support her and love her - someone who could empathize with her, was compassionate and understanding to what she was going through and patient, was honest and would make the right decision when the time came. I really enjoyed this book. I loved the characters and was immediately drawn into their story. It was such a fun read following them on the road to discovering their love for each other. I definitely hope there will be other books to follow from this author.
