Moving YA book poses a terrific question: what if the Earth begins to slow its inexorable spinning on its axis, causing our days to become longer and longer? The challenges to people and our environment rival climate change, but the pace of change is rapid. Our middle-school narrator allows us to share in the disintegration and healing of her family, but also in the growing pains of her 12-year-old self. A pleasure to read.

Shelves: book-club-pick
I read this for book club and it also was the pick for "If All of Rochester Read the Same Book". It was OK. It was a end of the world type book which I normally don't like. I have to say though that it was interesting regarding the climate change being the effect of being a factor in the end of the world. The coming of age story was good also. Well written.
