Joey Zee is a very insightful children's book about a young boy who comes from a single parent, biracial background. He is just like any other rambunctious and somewhat stubborn six year old, who is looking forward to his frist year in elementary school. Soon after ,however, he becomes frustrated about the way his frist grade teacher, Ms. Noble runs her class. The artist/author was born in rural, North Carolina. His interest in the visual arts developed early when he attempted to duplicate a drawing which his older brother had bought home as a school assignment. While attending public school there, he was also exposed to the power of books and the written word. These experiences later inspired him to pursue writing as well as the visual arts.
