How do you become a Saint?

The Catholic Church has always exhorted the faithful to read the lives of the saints as their histories are shining examples on how to lead a holy a virtuous life. Since we are all called to become saints, Citizens of Heaven, we should do as the citizens do, and therefore read their biographies to learn how to become model Holy Citizens as expected of us, right?

However, there are times when the task of becoming a saint almost seems impossible when we read the histories
