A better title for this book would be "99 Activities for Kids" - Framing them as an alternate to TV left a sour taste in my mouth as most of the activities required significant adult participation. It's not a great translation to English, as the sentence structures are very awkward. It also mentions in the opening diatribe that it's harmful for kids to sit too close to the TV, which hasn't been true since the late 1960s when there was a (quickly recalled) brand of TV on the market that emitted ...more
