I enjoyed this book, but one thing I was wondering about was how she would defend her husband's and her stance on not getting involved in the war given what was happening to the Jews and others. She did not apologize in any way or mention the Holocaust. She maintained that England should only be concerned with what was happening in their own country. In this way, only Germany was responsible for what happened in Germany. She did not seem to have any regrets or feel any responsibility.
