This book is not what you'd call "reverent" in the sense of seriousness and "liturgically correct" language. God, the author, reveals a playful, humorous, and joyful attitude toward creation, and in particular, to humanity.

God answers several questions often asked in the section "Being Objectionable", which is most of the book. These include "If you really exist, why don't you prove it?", "What's the deal with evil, anyway?", and "What's the deal with God actually writing the Bible?". I can buy

Very humorous and down to earth. It's very difficult to argue with Mr. Shore's logic. This book provided practical, down to earth easy to understand answers to difficult questions we all have about God in a non-preachy, very loving way.

Not sure how well this book would be received by someone who doesn't already believe the argument it sets out to make, but it is thought provoking, amusing, pretty good read. Not complete in it's theology but what is? I read it in one sitting.
