A good informative, easy to follow book.

I love to bake, especially bread. I love cookbooks, I'm a British expat and I enjoy picking up regional recipes. So okay I have quite a few of these already, but Paul Hollywood has updated some beautifully. Great recipes from one of the judges from the Great British Baking Show. Paul provided sweet and savory recipes from around England, Wales, Ireland and Scotland. I tried several Scottish recipes including Marmalade Cake and Marmalade Cheesecake with Whiskey Oranges, which my family enjoyed. I rated this book 4 stars instead of 5 because I had to convert all recipes from metric measurements. I've seen other British recipe books that provide equivalents in a chart and other baking tips.

Not so sure what Ireland would think about being included in "British" baking...

This is a joy to read: thick, smooth, lustrous pages accompanied by enticing photographs of the yummy biscuits, pasties, breads, scones & cakes. Some of the recipes have step-by-step photographs to aid in learning the proper methods of preparation.
