I grew up in the days before fast food was so popular. If we went to a hamburger joint, it was either while my family was on the road or just because my parents wanted to. Home cooking was the normal means for all the meals we ate.

Jacqueline's book brings back memories of my mother's, father's and grandmother's simple but delicious cooking. Unfortunately, I did not inherit the "good cook" genes. Microwave meals come out much better than my own attempts at cooking. But reading this book may encou
