Entertaining

This is an engaging read. The characters are likable, even the characters on the wrong side of humanity. Perhaps because this is the first in the series there are holes in the plot. At the outset there are many questions that the survivors of the human race need answers to. A few are unveiled, but not as many as I thought were promised. Definitely a military yarn with female characters. Not without its charms. I hope the answers are forthcoming in the future volumes.

A very good one , but

This is one of the best books and the beginning of a new series that I have ever read. But it has the same problem that almost every series but a few have that make it the best ever. The author presumes that homo sapiens sapiens will at first make more mistakes than their enemies will. No trust in our future.

This book was short, but a pleasure to read. I sense a lot of potential in this series and I want to see where the story goes as well as see what other cool technologies Hile thinks up. Extremely original sci-fi with all the components of a great story. All it needs is to expand.
