A good take on the non seriousness of the ghoulish bureaucrats of Pakistan by Talat Rahim. Their piggishness is unveiled surely and effectively in a light undertones by the author, making the reader aware of the chaos such as sex, liquor and Swiss accounts; that are brushed under the carpets of the country's foreign office, religiously.

Expected the book to be funny! It was at best a light read...
Expected it to be fictional! It is actually a biography with no disclosures

At best the book is the author's personal career as a working woman in Pakistan documented - and the story she tells really doesn't hold much surprises or 'expose' - as every saga sounds average with a smartalec protagonist ... Unimpressive read which fails to emotionally connect
