Bookstores are full of novels which narrates the story of the respective author about his engineering experiences. There are established and bestselling authors like Durjoy Datta and Sachin Garg who has written about the same topic before and ruled the bestsellers chart. And Shom follows their footsteps by writing 'life Served Hot'. But the best part about this story, though it is a fictional work, is you can relate it with your own life if you are an engineering student.

Shom always have this incredible style of writing and his first book (Official - Paperback) "The Pink Smoke" proved it so. Hence when it was announced by grapevine that this valentines Shom's next book is coming up, I was excited and the book did not disappoint me at all. Its said that never judge a book by its cover, but when the cover is super amazing, who does not get attracted to it.It was a refreshing read. A rebellious, free-spirited, notorious yet lovable boy, Siddhant Roy's journey was ...more

This might be a fictional book but this book will make you confront with the reality. No doubt we are living in a century, where every other person is an engineer or a doctor but here the Author has something different to say.

Siddhant Roy, the protagonist of the story returns to Bangalore to continue his engineering where he was detained in the previous year. He decides to start his life afresh. He befriends Ridhim, Vishal, Gaurav and others and life started running smoothly for him. But Life is

Set-backs and achievements are part and parcel of human life. We are too happy, we exclaim; exaggerate at times, when we achieve something that we desire. Similarly, reactions are completely opposite if we lose something. But that is what you call life – a mixture of palatable as well as unpalatable incidents. Palatable one’s make you happy while non-palatable teach lessons in life. I hope you remember my review on The Pink Smoke by Shomprakash Sinha Roy, don’t you? Well, here, I have finished ...more

This novel depicts how effective PR can elevate a less than average novel to such colossal heights-Shomprakash must be delighted to see his piece of crap getting accolades from someone as insignificant as Nikita Singh.5 Point someone was published precisely a decade back and it's been a good 10 years and the same concept has been replicated in an entirely different package time and again.A confused dude,an engineering college, girls who predominantly serve no other purpose than get laid(which is ...more

The story continues from where Siddhant Roay's life is messed up completely. How he shapes up when problems galore and will he be able to overcome it all is a big question in the story?

The narration does justice to the story but the depth is found wanting many times. The story lacks freshness and the only part that excites is struggle. The predictability factor is too high and there is nothing out of the blues to comfort the readers.

The tell tale of a struggler is good and one can sympathize w

My New Year( Ok , Mid-New Year ) Resolution .....Thou shall never pick any book ( if that's what they can be called ) from the Durjoy Datta-Nikita Singh-Shomprakash Roy ( & multitude others) camp !!! Amen !!!! Enough said . So traumatised by the sheer inanity / tomfoolery / idiocy of this " whatever" , I can't be bothered to write a review - ( of what ??? ) And this is one resolution I'll definitely have no problem keeping - to save my life !!!
