Books in Harlequin's American Romance line are usually on the cleaner side of their romance novels. Often centered on cowboys and small towns they are typically heartwarming and family centered with just a little steam, usually a page or two I skim over.  Once in a while I'm in the mood for a good cowboy romance so I turn to this line of books.

The Texan's Cowboy Bride was a cute story.  While reading it I could tell there had been stories written about other minor characters. I could tell I was

Good book. I really liked both Savannah and Travis. Savannah has taken over the family store as her contribution to the family business. She loves what she does and has great plans for expanding the business, if she can just get her father to agree. About once a month she takes some time for herself and competes in a barrel racing event at a rodeo. At the latest rodeo she runs into Travis, an old friend from high school. He is a widower and has a private investigations business. Savannah suddenl ...more

This is the first Trish Milburn novel I have read and it was not entirely what I was expecting. I was looking for a quick light read with a lot of romance thrown it, and what I received was a quick read with plot twists I never saw coming!

Savannah is a hard-working woman who is determined to run the family store, armed with peaches, pecans and a little craftiness. In her “down time” she enjoys

I like Savannah Baron. She is a fighter, hard worker, talented and loves her family. But her father is driving her crazy.

Travis Shepard lost his wife. He is afraid of getting close to anyone again. He had a crush on Savannah in high school. He had to work out a lot of issues. I like him

The Texan's Cowgirl bride goes on an emotional ride. Savannah after a fall while riding in rodeo is asked about her family history. She decides to try and find her mom. She gets Travis to find her. Sava

The book begins when Savannah going to a horse show to compete. There she runs into a guy she use to know in high school Travis. She never would have expected to fill such a huge pull towards him but she does. And after an accident, and a crazy health scare she decides to use his P.I. help to try to find her mom. While working together these two start to form a relationship that neither one of them every expected to have, especially Travis after the tra

Savannah and Travis are strong characters but I couldn’t connect with neither and I can’t quite put my finger on it. Still, it was an easy book to read. A few unexpected plot twists, a little romance, sparks flying and the author kept the story plausible. I really liked Savannah’s determination in finding her mother, that definitely kept my interest. I also liked Savannah’s sister, I think that I might try to read the book about her. A classic romance.
