Raven and her true love, Alexander, sleep in a coffin; 11 year old vampire Valentine is interested in tree houses; Billy Boy and his nerd-mate Henry are busy with Project Vampire and Dullsville High's Prom Night is just around the corner.
Don’t pay attention to my rating, these books were written for much younger readers than me. If I had read them when I was 14, I’d probably be in love with them.
Still, for some reason that I can’t explain, this series always puts a smile on my face. Maybe it’s b...more

This book was okay, it wasn't anything to write home about. Nothing big really happened. And the on-going feud between Trevor and Raven is getting old, I mean she loves Alexander and it's clear Trevor has had a big ol' crush on her for a while... Other than that Raven is starting to annoy me, at first her antics and immaturity were refreshing, but now it's like okay... 16 year olds do NOT act like this. I mean most of them are out having sex and doing drugs and rais...more

It's prom time! And Raven wants to go with Alexander. At the same times, she also has to protect her little brother from Valentine, Jagger and Luna's little brother who has come looking for them.
Billy gets a bigger role in this book, and he seems like a fun character.
Valentine doesn't really act like a 12-year-old. How many tweens do you know that have ever utterred the words, "morbidly black sexy lace dress" (p. 92)? Okay, whatever that kid has been reading, he shouldn't be.

Dance With a Vampire is about a girl named Raven who helped Alexander escape a big plot out of his family friends, Jagger. Raven is now being hunted by their little brother, Valentine. She tells Alexander and now he has to deal with Valentine to see what he really wants. It turns out that Valentine wasnt here to harm any one of them.

"Dace with a Vampire" and the "Vampire Kisses" series is like another "Twlight". Human and vampire fall in love, but in this book they don't have any drama with the two lovebirds. Raven would be Bella in "Twilight", but instead of being the victim sghe is the heroine. Also she the total oppiste of Bella. Raven is Goth and her favorite color is black. Her ultimate wish is to be a vampire, which sshe wanted since she was born, and before she met her vampire boyfriend. Alexander would be Edward, bu...more

My 5th book of the Vampire Kisses Series. I really like this series and recommend it to vampire lovers out there. It is about goth girl Raven and her boyfriend, Alexander who is a vampire. In the last book they had to deal with vampires Jasper and Luna who are siblings. Raven and Alexander drove them out and back to Romania. Then suddenly shows up Valentine, Jasper and Luna's little brother. Raven and Alexander can;t figure out what is his purpose showing up. As Valentine gets close to Billy, Ra...more
Dance with a Vampire was a fantastic installment to the Vampire Kisses series. Alexander and Raven might have gotten rid of Luna and Jagger, but a new vampire is in town, Valentine. As far as villain characters go, Valentine is pretty tame. He reads thoughts and spreads secrets to stir up trouble in Raven and Alexander's relationship. My favorite character is Raven. I like her style and attitude. She dresses and acts how she wants to and doesn't care what anyone else thinks. Alexander has become...more

I decided to review all eight of these books together, as I pretty much read them all back to back and I don't think I would be able to go back and review them all individually.
Firstly, this is a series that I had known about for a while, but wasn't really too sure what the books were about. Going from the titles it's obvious that they are about vampires, but apart from that I hadn't really looked into them too much. One day in December, bored I decided to give the first bo...more

Dances with a Vampire, written by Ellen Schreiber is a engaging book about a teenage goth called Raven. Raven, a teen who has quite an obsession with vampires, finally got herself a vampire boyfriend. As a person who is interested in dark and vampire-like activities she is known as a outcast throughout her school and town. Although, i sort of disliked Raven's character i still liked how she showed herself through her own characteristics such as dark lipstick, makeup, nails and clothing. Raven is...more

Young brother of the Maxwell twins -Valentine decided to show up. Is he as evil as his older brother Jagger? What exactly is his plan for Raven's own - Billy?
While Schreiber like to call Alexander our resident vampire, he still remains the less appealing character in this book. I am bored reading the parts that he's in it, unless it involves the sl...more

I have loved this series since book one. I really like the character of Raven and how she is an outcast but in my eyes she is the popular one, she sticks out to me and is a very cool character. In this book Raven and Alexander get closer and there are a couple of times in the book when I think Alexander is going to turn Raven into a vampire finally, if he does or doesn't I won't say, I don't want to ruin the book. But the book does end with Alexander leaving again after they capture the new trou...more
Dullsville's newest night-faring intruder may be only a tween, but Raven knows that Valentine Maxwell, the younger sibling of two nefarious vampires, is a full-size menace. Valentine becomes even more of a threat when he befriends her brother, Billy. Raven must try to shield Billy, even as the biggest excitement of the year approaches: attending prom with her immortal love, Alexander. And while Alexander is one kind of vampire—sweet—Raven soon learns Valentine is another.

I have been reading a lot of paranormal romances lately, and most of them I have enjoyed greatly. These I have liked, but mainly for the character of Raven and her family. The stories make me feel old. These are obviously written for teens or younger. Alexander is a very one dimensional. We only see him through Alexander's eyes and he is too perfect. I actually find Trevor a more interesting character.

Awww, Valentine was so adorable, i couldn't stop loving him. Even when he was being extremely creepy. A Minni Jagger? C'mon, i'm sure you have to agree! anyway, this book was awesome, her brother getting a goth friend? P-l-e-a-s-e! But it's true, all so true! and its really surprising considering the fact that Henry and Billy are nerds and the general idea is that Nerds don't like goths, but anyway. an excellent read, i recommend this for people who...more
