I'm so happy to have discovered Arne Dahl. As a Swedish mystery writer he wins hands down over Stieg Larsson. This guy can write, he's witty, he's observant, there is so much more than just the case to be solved. I really like how he weaves the story together, how all the bits and pieces fall into place, how we get to know the people ... and most of all I love his insights on where in the world we are heading. He paints the bigger picture while not sparing us the details.
