I had to read this book for my Perinatal Social Work class. It honestly blew me away. It was so sad, and yes, it did get very technical...but fascinating. It came from the father's P.O.V., and I feel as if the father's loss of a child is lessened because the mother's the one who carries the child for several months. There is more comfort in worrying about the mother's psychological and physical well-being. A father's grief is more uncomfortable to many people. Especially since this is a society ...more
