This book was provided by the publisher in the print form of 'Tangled Up' in exchange for an honest review.

This book is a perfect example of how you can think you don’t like a plot, but as it turns out, you just needed someone to do it right.

A submissive man in the bedroom hasn’t worked for me in the past, but it worked for me here. I loved this short story from Megan Hart.

Both of the characters in this book were likable. I felt like, outside of the bedroom, they were perfectly matched. (They we

Sometimes, it was so so good! In others, I was frustrated. Others, almost sleepy. Others, surprised. The end was so simple... so disappointing.
I liked her attitude. So fierce.
It's the second story written by Megan I've read and I love the "power" of the women in her stories.

When I first started reading the Cosmo Red-Hot reads last year I was a big fan. They were fun, sexy, smart, and quick. But for the last few months I just have not been impressed by the offerings and Crossing the Line is another disappointment.

The thing about Crossing the Line is that nothing really happens. I guess that isn't true, things happen: Caite's female boss has complications with her pregnancy and has to work from home which leaves Caite and her male boss, Jamison, as the only two peopl

Caite Fox is a junior account manager at Wolfe and Baron and has been working there for 8 months. In the 8 months she has barely spoken to her boss, Jamison Wolfe.

Jamison Wolfe is always in control. He never loosens up or lets go. When Caite and Jamison work together on a project, Caite seduces Wolfe and takes control from him. A whirlwind of emotion and dominance take over as they are thrust into a relationship neither of them realized they needed.

I love Megan Hart and her books. I think she

This was a quick, short read that I found entertaining. Typical for a Megan Hart book, you never know what to expect, which I love.

Caite has watched her boss, Jamison, from afar for the last 8 months. He's gruff, short tempered and always has to be in control. But when Caite pushes him to the edge, they both discover he might actually enjoy giving up some of that control. I don't usually enjoy the man being the submissive one in the relationship, but it didn't bother me as much in this story. I

I've been enjoying the Cosmo reads. They are short, sexy and have a happy ending. This was a little out of the ordinary because Caite is the dominant one in the relationship and Jamieson is the one obeying. It's not all leather whips and madam lash however. It's about them meeting a need neither of them had explored before.

The relationship is really rather sweet and when things went wrong I did get quite emotional. Which kind of surprised me because generally this isn't my thing and some of the

The bad: FemDom isn't my thing.

I feel like this could have been really great had it been longer. This is the second Cosmo Red Hot I've read recently where 80 pages just doesn't do the characters justice. I needed more all around. But the female dom and the submissive boss worked fairly well for me in this one.

Rapidito rapidito se lee este libro, con una historia sencilla, que no profundiza mucho en los personajes, descubriendo sus motivaciones, de manera muy somera. Normalito tirando a flojo.

Después de dejar en claro eso, paso a decirles que Hart nuevamente ha ingresado a la cabeza femenina.

Megan nos cuenta una historia (muy corta a mi gusto) en la que toda mujer desea ser Caite.

Crossing the Line: In which a young account manager at some sort of PR firm puts the gears to her older, grumpy boss, and he gloriously submits.

That's right, he submits, and it's awesome.

I'm always on the lookout for this kind of book, because I'm intrigued by the idea of a submissive guy but can't quite imagine for myself how I would find it hot. Fortunately I have excellent authors who will do that for me -- for one, Tiffany Reisz with The Last Good Knight, and now Megan Hart with her tortured

Crossing the Line by Megan Hart is a short and sexy Cosmo Red-Hot Reads novella and is intended to be a quick and hot romance read. I have to say that this one just didn't do anything for me. It was short and had promise of being a sexy story, but it just wasn't able to deliver. Caite has a thing for one of her bosses, but Jamison acts as though he doesn't know she exists. When her other boss Elise has complications with her pregnancy, Caite h

Sometimes you come across a book and read it and it wows you and that’s the case with Crossing The Line by Megan Hart. I was expecting an office romance but got so much more. Holy cow, did I get more! Outrageously sexy, a wee bit kinky, and a couple who isn’t afraid to explore their sexuality and push each other’s limits made this book impossible to put down.

Jamison is in control of everything. As partner in his PR firm, he stays on top of things, making sure his clients are taken care of. He doesn't have time for much of a personal life, and when he does, it leaves him wanting more. When his life long friend and business partner, Elise, has to take early maternity leave, it throws Jamison for a loop. Not only does he have to control his clients now, but hers as well. As he dreads taking on the extra work, he never expects that the junior account ...more
Crossing the Line is classic Megan Hart, this short story definitely carries her voice all throughout. The plot is simple, its romance, a man and a woman find each other attractive and in the course of events that follow pursue that attraction. In Megan Hart fashion, its more character driven rather than plot. Caitlyn Fox is independent, a go getter, good at her job and is extremely attracted to her boss. Jamison Wolfe is a quiet, controlled alpha male, he may be considered uptight, always in ...more

This story was definitely different then what I had expected. It is on of Cosmo's Red Hot reads and it definitely hits the target.

Caite has been working hard at her career. Though she reports to one partner, she has definitely taken notice of the other partner, Jamison, and she likes what she sees. The problem is Jamison is so hung up on his work her barely notices Caite. Things change once Caite needs to step up and take on some big name clients of her own. Jamison is uncertain

Finally! A fem dom book that doesn't hinge on humiliation and emasculation. Finally! A fem dom book that shows the characters getting to know each other and themselves. Finally! A fem dom book where the sexual dominate makes mistakes, works on testing her own boundaries, and isn't some omnipotent, omnipresent person who is never unsure of anything ever. Did I love the book? No...but, I appreciated a different perspective on the fem dom storyline, and I appreciated the nod to the emotional and ...more

I love Megan Hart. But I like her longer novels. Short stories always leave me feeling jipped - like I missed half the plot or everything got crammed into a two hour read. The book was okay. Caite was okay, Jamison was okay. There were some plot mistakes (like Elise being in the office because she and Caite were looking at each other, but then stating they hung up from their phone call). I didn't care much about Caite's work life - as far as Tommy, Pax, and Nellie. I did quite enjoy her and ...more

I love Megan Hart. She always delivers the unexpected. CROSSING THE LINE is a perfect example of her flipping the script on the Millionaire alpha male boss and the "junior" executive office romance. This is a very quick read. An interesting take on the usual erotic stories as the female is the more dominant of the two in this one.

To be honest as it's not that long there isn't a lot that can be said about it. I did enjoy the relationship between Caite and her boss Jamison. It was nice to see the male lead takng a more submissive role than usual.

The erotic scenes aren't overly erotic and if you're looking for lots of erotic action perhaps this isn't one to pick up. I would have liked it to ha
