I didn’t really like this book. It has too much of a sleazy/”porny” undertone to it even though it tries to come across as something else.

The hero, Rowdy (a totally stupid nickname as were the names of his two cousins Dawg and Natches –sounds like slang for an STD)—is a bit of a creepy Neanderthal. He’s way overboard with his “alphaness” for my taste. He’s too possessive and borderline psycho staking a claim on Kelly as “his” and his cousins even say “he’s CLAIMED her” --and mind you, so does h...more

This was a pretty good book. It was a common theme for Leigh with the man can’t stay away from the girl so he goes into the military until she gets older. Then he comes back for her. When Rowdy comes back this time he finds out that Kelly has been attacked and is being stalked. With the help of his 2 cousins, Rowdy sets out to find out who is doing it. The plot was very well done. In fact, I found this to be a little more plot filled than most of LL’s books.

I would have given the book 5 stars bu...more

I really liked this book... did I love it? No. Let me explain...

I liked the plot in this book a lot! It alone could be worth 5 stars. Kelly is a 24 year old girl who has waited her whole life for Rowdy. He is 6 years older and joined the military when Kelly was 16 to get away from her. You see, Rowdy already had feelings for her, and she was just way too young!

Rowdy is finally back for good from the military, and when he comes home waiting for Kelly to leap into his arms, he's shocked to find...more

Rated 3.5

Okay, I should have rated it less than 3.5 stars, but three things prevented me from doing that:

1.H/H fell in love at a young age.
2.Dominant and protective hero.
3.Good ending.

Now, what I hated the most about this book:

Rowdy kept pressuring her to make a decision about his cousins. And I hated how the cousins acted like Rowdy has to share her with them just because they protected and didn’t let any other men touch her(Except her stalker, of course.) during his absence. Yeah, they did alw...more

This is the first novel in the “Nauti Trilogy” by Lora Leigh. It is my fav so far, and going on my Keeper Shelf for sure (grin). Rowdy has been in love with Kelly, since she was a kid and his dad married her mom. However when Kelly turned 16 the temptation was too great for Rowdy, who was now in his early 20s, so he joined the Marines with his cousins, Dawg and Natches. When Rowdy came back he felt Kelly was still too young for his unusual sexual appetites, so he did another tour. By then he kne...more

Halfway mark review****I am liking the characters Rowdy and Kelly. She is younger but not totally naive when it comes to knowing what she wants, even after being nearly raped, she still gets shivers from Rowdy's touch. I don't like the fact that Rowdy wants to have a 4-some (w/ her and his cousins) its the supposed center of his love fantasies, but then if you consider the background given he doesn't have much to stand on w/o his cousin's help, it seems. I don't think it's a confidence issue but...more

Maybe I'm slow. This is the third Lora Leigh story I've read. I keep thinking I'll like one of them. I like reading erotica. But the whole use of rape as a plot device, step brother - step sister as hero - heroine, group sex with your cousins as the only true sign of love, and half a dozen other things just sort of turned me off on this one. So why three stars? Well, I'll remember this book long after I will have forgotten so many others. I'll also remember a few of the blazing hot scenes.

I love Lora Leigh, but this isn't one of my favorites. Yes, there are the usual romantic scenes, the military alpha male, and suspense, but something in the story didn't work for me. The heroine is the victim of a near rape, and while in the beginning she seems to have problems relating to the man she's always loved, she gets over the attack far too quickly to be believable. He says he won't push her, but from the first night, he's trying albeit slowly to get her to be with him. I also have prob...more

I was in Barnes & Noble a few days ago and I picked up this book because I was looking for an adult romance will military men. I didn't realize it was an erotica until I got into it. But, yeah, this is definitely an erotica.

Rowdy Mackay has just come home for good from the Marines. He left because he was falling for 16-year-old Kelly Benton when he was in his early 20's. He knew his feelings were inappropriate, so he did the right thing by walking away. Also, the relationship is further com...more

Rowdy's in love with Kelly. As far as Kelly is concerned, the feeling is mutual. But Rowdy is older and Kelly is just a kid, so to put distance between them and resist temptation, he joins the marines. Now, after eight years away, Rowdy has finally come home and everybody knows that means home to claim Kelly. But, something's wrong. The girl that always attempted to seduce him when he came home, is now afraid of him.
Kelly has always wanted Rowdy but an attack by a stalker that is still on the lo...more

This was my second Lora Leigh read, and it was pretty similar to the first one I read. Like really really similar. Like basically the same book. Guy is hot for girl but thinks she's too young so goes off to the military. Returns because she is now "ready" for him. Of course he is a big bad alpha male with a thing for butt sex and no problem at all with extreme public displays of affection. In fact this "hero" takes it one step further and shares his women with his cousins ( Seriously,I can't be...more

I love Lora Leigh. The SEALS series has withstood repeated reading without getting old. This book, not so much. I read a lot, serious literature in addition to more light and fun fare. When I opt for erotica, it needs to be erotic -- really erotic. There was only one sex scene in the book that was beyond the everyday, and that scene was not as well written as I have come to expect from Lora Leigh. Also, I really did not like the charcters at all. No one had any passion outside of their sexual re...more

Rowdy is love with his younger stepsister Kelly, which everyone seems to realize. As to avoid doing something stupid he goes into the marines and even re-ups instead of going home. So he has only seen Kelly a few times in the last few years but the connection is still there. But during the last year when he calls home there is an odd tension with his father and he isnt allowed to talk to Kelly. When he gets home and finds a much more timid Kelly he discovers that she has been attacked while he w...more

Sexy, virgin heroine has been in love with her stepbrother(Hero) since she was younger. Hero thinks she's still too young for him at 23 & may not handle his sexual nature (he & his 2 cousins share women). He leaves her for one last military tour of duty & comes back to a scared heroine who now dresses in baggy clothes. After finding out that she was almost raped by a serial rapist soon after he left her a year ago, he helps her get over her sexual fears & finally claims her sexua...more

I'm was becoming a fan for Leigh and up until now I almost had no complaints. I have no idea what was going on with her in this book. First, as a Marine, the three cousins had no characteristics of a Marine especially one with combat experience. But I can forgive that because most authors write about military men but don't get it right At least Leigh didn't try to write about things which could have happened in the Corps and got them all wrong. What I can't get over is how Kelly sees Rowdy and s...more

hmmm... the three Nauti boys - cousins... who grew into their sexuality midteens under the tutelage of an older woman, who taught them to work together to please a woman and themselves... and they exploited their talents...

Rowdy... two tours with the Navy... to keep himself out of his stepsister's way - she's too young for his feelings, though he knows someday he will claim her... and Kelly - who has flirted with Rowdy, and his two cousins - but especially with Rowdy... who fantasized about bein...more

When I read the description on the back of this book, I knew, just knew, that it would turn out to be more tawdry romance (probably borderline weak-plot-development-erotica, really) than interesting suspenseful romance that I have read by this author. So why did I buy it? Well, I got it for a 3/4 off the sticker price. That was a big sell, and I am a book-a-holic...though a somewhat disappointed one.

In my opinion, the author could have done a lot more with the frame work that the back cover des...more

This is the first book in the "Nauti" series by Lora Leigh and I did enjoy reading the book though there are some things that I didn't care for about the hero of the book. The hero, "Rowdy" is an alpha male who instead of dealing with his feelings for a younger woman, left home and joined the military. It doesn't help that the girl, Kelly, is the duaghter of his father's new wife. Rowdy finally comes home from the military to live on his boat that he docks at his family's marina. His cousins "Da...more

My first Lora Leigh book - WHOA. Kelly and Rowdy had the best thing going for them right away because the stepbrother/stepsister, forbidden love element is my favorite. Rowdy and Kelly have fought their strong, intense love for each other for years, while Rowdy turned to the Marines to try to keep him away. Finally, he returns home but things have changed, since in his absence Kelly was attacked and everyone kept that news from Rowdy while he was gone. As they overcome a stalker who becomes more...more

Well I didn't like this book at all.

List of things I didn't like is pretty long.

First of all I didn't like the names of those guys, which were really stupid. Really woman, what were you thinking calling them Rowdy, Natches and Dawg?

Moreover, I found it highly implausible that a guy who seems to be a typical alpha male would be so eager to share his woman. Even if he did it before and with his cousins and it doesn't really matter that he changed his mind later.

What is more, I hated reading how he...more

Plain and simple, this was one of her worst books… not that it was bad, but the whole thing was about some dumb ass guy obsessed with a girl & his failed rape. He kept watch on her because she may be his one true love (stupid, I think) because she was such an innocent. Then her step-brother finally comes home to claim her, because she's grown up enough to handle his sharing her with his cousins (not her's) because as far as sex he and his cousins share all their women. Thus causing inner tur...more

Okay...this book didn't wow me, but before I give my opinions, I want to give a warning that this book may push some buttons for others as they did for me. First, there is some rape/attack descriptions that may cause trigger reactions for some victems, but I must say that the descriptions, although vivid, weren't so over the top that they bothered me.

Second, this book luuuuurves the backdoor action. If you are not an anal person (and I don't mean obsessive) this may not be the book for you. Alt...more

Fighting the terrible memory of being attacked, Kelly was trying to hide the worst of it from the man she loved, Rowdy - he would have gone AWOL if he had known. Returning from the war, this time for good, he had come home to finally claim the woman that had been on his mind since she was too young to think that way about. Hearing what had happened to her had solidified his desire to always protect and keep her, but after he took care of her problem he knew he would also give her a choice. With...more

It's been awhile since I read this series, so instead of reviewing each book individually, I'm going to review the entire series.

While I've sworn off Lora Leigh because Lawe's Justice was just so over the top bad, I really enjoyed this series. And I'm not going to claim that it's because they are such great works of literature. It's because the way Lora Leigh writes her heroes is @$^*% hot! The only reason I liked this series but gave up on her Breeds series, is because the books in this series...more

This was a decent book. I didn't find that it sizzled but it was entertaining. It had romance and suspense, it a pretty good read.

Nauti Boy by Lora Leigh is a delicious piece of erotica storytelling. This story of love starts off with Rowdy Mackay coming home from the Marines for good. He has come back to claim Kelly Benton, who he has loved since she was 16, as his own now that she is a grown woman.

Upon his arrival, Rowdy is expecting Kelly to be the sweet tease he remembered; but, he encounters a woman who is mentally scarred from a sexual assault. Rowdy and his posse, Dawg and Natches, formulate a plan to flush out the...more

Lora Leigh lives in the rolling hills of Kentucky, often found absorbing the ambience of this peaceful setting. She dreams in bright, vivid images of the characters intent on taking over her writing life, and fights a constant battle to put them on the hard drive of her computer before they can disappear as fast as they appeared. Lora’s family, and her writing life co-exist, if not in harmony, in...more

“Love changes us, Son." Ray rose to his feet, crossing the room slowly to set his empty glass on the bar. "Don't make the same mistake I did, Rowdy.
