This book had some interesting and useful ideas I will keep, but Beadle's tone grated on me for large parts of the book (his gratuitous swearing, I'm-just-a-common-lad, and "down with the kids" attitude). I don't subscribe to his belief that the only reason children don't make progress, etc, is that lessons aren't interesting enough and are taught by "crap teachers" - although naturally stressing this point will endear him to the parents who are his target market for this book.
