I also posted my review to amazon......In Gittins stories there are tipping points which catch you unawares, at which you realize that something has changed and will never be the same as it was before. She has an uncanny eye for seeing these moments, which in and of themselves very ordinary, often small things. Everyone has experienced them, but usually we have forgotten them as our lives move on.
