I love the author
I normally don't set out to read hot man-on-man love. But, I have been on a Jet Mykles kick lately. Honestly, it looks to me that homosexuality is the relationships she seems to like and prefer to write about, so I figured what the heck, and I drove right on in.
This was a really great book, it is a two story anthology about two members in a famous rock band. The world that Jet weaves around the characters is always fasinating to me. I thought the character development, and the relationship that...more

Obviously yaoi-influenced

"Heaven" - 7/10
PROS:
- Hot sex. Johnnie is a little pushy leading up to the first encounter (he’s a seme all the way), but overall I thought the sex scenes were fairly well done.
- The romance is light and breezy and shallow, but in a good way. I didn’t find it anywhere near realistic (see cons below), but it’s a fun read.
- Good interactions between the band members and between Tyler and his friends....more

The first book in the series was great, and I thought nothing could top it. Usually when I read a series, I often find I'm disappointed in the sequel. Johnnie and Tyler had such great chemistry, and they fit well together. I loved how they met and started their relationship, and I reread their book whenever I want a fun read.
But the sequel, Purgatory, was even better than the first. I adored Lucas and Reese. There was something about the two of them that made their relationship even better than...more

Heaven Sent:
I really liked this one. What I thought truly stood out in this book was the overt sensuality and sexuality in it. Johnnie dripped sex. All of the sex scenes were hot. The hottest scene, by far, had to be the photo shoot. Johnnie on the prowl was amazingly sexual. I really like the way Mykles can practically draw a picture for the reader. You really do see the actions. She’s very good at using small details that bring the action alive without b...more

This one was really hard for me to rate. It's not really three stars but it's not up there in the four stars category either. I liked the story itself but I had some troubles with how it was written. Don't get me wrong, I'm not talking about grammar or spelling, but about how... two-dimensional the characters were, especially the heroes in Heaven. For example, we didn't even learn the name of Tyler's brother-in-law even though he was there, in a scene or two. Maybe if the characters had more dep...more

OMG this totally rocked my world. Have you ever had a book that once you start you can't stop? Everything seems to be forgotten like your cats, sleeping, eating, ect...? Well that's what happened when I started this book last night at 7 I had to finish it I couldn't stop and I didn't want to put it down. THIS is a great M/M book nice fluff nice everything. I really liked it. Now on to the next *g*

I loved these two stories. Not sure why it took me so long to start reading the series since I am a rock star fanatic, and now, of course, I want more. Sexy, fun, supportive, loving characters - rock stars - gay for you - hot sex - interesting, heartfelt plots - what more could you ask for in a series. Fabulous!

Jet is a writer of sexual fantasy with a firm belief that all men are at least partially gay, that vampires are just people with a liquid diet and shapeshifters live on every block.
