I love trees. They shade you on a sunny afternoon. They provide branches for the birds to build their nests. They stand tall and straight, reaching up to the sky. Children can climb trees or attach swings to their limbs. Some trees provide nourishment in the form of fruit or nuts for animals and humans.

In Author Eliza Earsman’s poetic book, A FALLEN TREE, we meet Harry, an old oak tree, living in the open spaces with sheep and lambs. Harry grows older, as is the way of life. He still gives shelt
