Some men know exactly how to touch a woman

Sick of being told what she can't do, blue-blooded Kate Spinney has distanced herself from her arrogant, overly entitled family. Torn between 3 and 4 stars - well, not torn, but undecided. The author has a great sense of humor, and the characters are well developed for a short romance novel. As a Florida girl, I enjoyed the Miami setting and Kate's feeling of detachment in such an exotic locale. "Senor Manos," the Peruvian manicurist, who hides his day job, to protect the identity of Alejandro the MBA student, was great. Very nice book, and I will look for more by Karen Kendall.

The plot of the story just wasn't my cup of tea. Yes it had romance and I liked the fact that they were two very different people, but the fact that Alejandro keep pressuring Kate to change really bugged me. Yes, she wore old, crappy clothes, but I don't like the fact that he wanted her to change. It did help her create a world away from her family so I guess it wasn't all bad.

funny as well as sexy. loved the MBA student hero's day job as a nail-tech and the length he goes thru to keep his macho soccer teammates, and the heroine, from finding out.
