Kit Power is another power house in the making in the short story genre. I absolutely loved both stories. They are both every well written and very engaging with the reader.

The Loving Husband and the Faithful Wife:

Is a witty little tale of love and the lengths that someone will go to, to protect it. I thoroughly enjoyed the authors ability to convey how someone, who is totally in love with another person things and feels. When even the very thought of seeing tha

First story was 1 star while it was a 3 for the second one, so I'm averaging this out to a 2.

The first one was really weird. The writing was choppy at times and long and convoluted in others.
I simply picture her, allow my mind to fill with her - her face, her words, her voice, her body, and the thousands upon thousands upon thousands of communications, from the lightest frivolity to the most stern of intonations - to cascade through my mind, filling me with raw data, allowing me to see her wit

Two stories combine to make up this novella size release from Black Beacon Books. The first is a tale of the lengths a man will go to in order to restore balance to the relationship between The Loving Husband and the Faithful Wife.

When the couple decides to add a sun lounge to the rear of their house we discover one of the workers to be young, handsome, tall, and muscular. It's not difficult to see where this is going.

The cover art, from the talented Greg Chapman, shows

The first story started out well and then tapered off into mundane predictability. It was well written and all, but after a certain point you just knew where it was going to go. Though, I do have to admit that the final dénouement pulled everything together nicely. The second was better and I really appreciated the interpretable ending. Both stories show a real talent for placing the reader in the characters' heads and they all felt real to me. I'd be well up for reading more of Power's books

I received this book for free in exchange for an honest review. This does not affect my opinion of the book or the content of my review.

There is no horror quite like suburbia. Kit Power offers two tales of domestic darkness from two very different men from opposite sides of English society.

In the title story, we meet a man and wife who are sure to be introduced as a “charming couple” to others, but are never named. The husband loves his wife with an obsessive passion, noticing every nuance of he

Kit Power's fiction straddles the horror, thriller and fantasy genres. He is also part of a rock band called The Disciples of Gonzo. The Loving Husband And The Faithful Wife has been published by Black Beacon books and also includes another short story, The Debt.

Both of these short stories are incredibly dark, with the author focusing on what happens when circumstances cause previously normal, hard working decent men to go over the edge...

The Loving Husband And The Faithful Wife, is really the s

Everyone who knows me, knows that I am a lover of horror, and the more twisted and frightening, the better.

The Loving Husband and the Faithful Wifeturned out to be right up my alley.

I'm sure you've guessed by now that this is most certainly NOT a cutesy tale of domestic bliss.

While I was bored with the husband and wife's (we never learn their names) lives with routines that made me want to shoot myself, it quickly got interesting. Thank goodness I didn't have to wait out the five-day waiting pe

Read this after reading Kit's newest book Lifeline and discovering they were loosely connected. This one contains 2 short stories and I read it again in one sitting.

The first story is The Loving Husband and The Faithful Wife. This story is told from the husbands point of view. They appear to be as the title suggests a loving couple albeit somewhat bizarre. This couple are clearly very successful and when being told through the husbands eyes it reads quite chilling but also in some respects quite
