I’ve always been into mystery novels, but Aquarian made me think on certain things usually taken for granted and never even spared a moment to think about. The most striking thing about the book for me is the interpretation of what we know as “the law of attraction”. The book bears certain resemblances to "The Secret" by Rhonda Byrne which I also enjoyed but still felt something was missing as I was reading it. I was most intrigued by the symbols and ciphers hidden in the Mona Lisa painting. I’m a fan of Da Vinci’s works and really enjoyed the details described in the book. I’m not sure how much of it was fiction and how much of it was based on research, though. I guess I’ll now try to read from other resources about what I’ve learnt from the book about Mona Lisa and Da Vinci’s life.

I love love love this book! Great glimpses of mystical teaching and a whole different perspective on life. And of course WATER... The substance that is almost a "panacea" in itself. And a lot of little-known facts about water. So the book has a rich content. Plus, I felt so lucky to have already read the book when I saw the author is organizing a book question contest. Because I've always wanted to visit Italy.
Well, when I read The Secret, I thought "OK, we can control our lives. If we think positive, positive things will happen to us." But I could not accept the idea that one can be rich just because they are thinking positive- I just didn't buy it. Finally somebody stepped up and said "Yes, the law of attraction works, but you can't expect it to do the whole job for you. And by itself it cannot attract a cheque!
