"Speaking to the Heart" is a very good anthology of poetry selected and introduced by British nun Sister Wendy Beckett. The poems are grouped under a series of headings, such as Longing, Wonder, Courage and Sorrow. It is a very varied collection, in terms of both the chronology of the selection and the types of poem included.
