The heroine is a weak doormat. And she doesn't really change from that. The hero is a horrible user, and he doesn't change from that either.

So the hero and heroine are married but the hero is living it up like he's single. While he goes out and has parties all the time, where the heroine is not invited, it finally comes back to bite him in the arse.

A starlet has a tell all about having sex with him on his boat after one of his parties. The heroine leaves his sorry butt, and has a baby. The hero...more

Vivien thinks her husband is cheating on her and refuses to believe he is innocent. She abandons him, gives birth to their son and two years later she discovers he was faithful to her all along.

Now Vivien has deep regrets about taking his son away from him and letting her doubts and insecurity ruin their marriage. But now Lucca has moved on and all he wants from Vivien is revenge.

I loved the sexual chemistry and intensity between Vivien and Lucca. I liked that they both admitted their part in...more

This was quite good. I was really angry at the hero for the first part of the book for treating the heroine like dirt, but seeing his fear of losing the heroine redeemed him for me. I wasn't that bothered that the hero had been with other women since the heroine left him -- usually the roles are reversed in these novels, the hero ditches the heroine over some misunderstanding she is innocent of, and often the heroine is seeing someone else when the hero comes back into her life (granted, she doe...more

OMG - this book was a train wreck! Points for being original in the sense that the H 'was' innocent and the h was totally in the wrong in the beginning. The h really irated me with her doormat behavior, but they both continued to fly off the handle with such dramatic hilarity that it kept me reading. As an overall HP I would have rated this lower, but it's a must read just for the characters. I was a little disappointed in the ending, I think the h deserved a little better...however, she really...more

I honestly didn't find this novel very exciting, in fact it was kind of desperate and predictable! I spent the whole first half of the novel completely disgusted by the hero and his attitude towards the heroine. Then I felt horrible bad for the heroine for being treated so shitty and being lied to repeatedly. It was just yuck but then at the ending point things got interesting, the heroine got "revenge" by taunting the hero and making him realize that he has loved her all along and only his prid...more

SHOCKED............

Vivi-Lucca their relationship had all issues Lack of communication(from both sides),lack of trust(both sides),one hell of a B**** sister(not even step Vivi was adopted by her parents),add the misunderstandings and Vivi was one weak meek wife and Lucca cruel selfish arrogant jerk, both played equal parts in breaking of their marriage

Even though it made me angry so much i absolutely enjoyed and loved this book, through their arguments one thing i agree with Lucca Vivi took every...more

I liked this book. It didn't wow me with the emotional angst of other books with this trope, but it was still good. The heroine had her moments. She kept flipping back and forth between doormat and having spunk. I gave her the benefit of the doubt though because I could understand her feelings of guilt. The hero also had his moments of a-holeness but again it was completely understandable. He lost his family for something he didn't even do.

It was OK. Vivien bored me to death by consistently blaming herself for everything. However, I liked how Lucca was sarcastic & mysterious yet faithful & sincere.
