I am not ashamed to have read this Josei manga, though the anime falls on the Shoujo category. We have to admit if the mangaka is titled the 'Queen of Smut Manga'. To my defense, I was reading this for the sake of the story. It's quite dreamy and though we all know what would go on as the plot goes, but then at times you'd be too shocked. I really loved this manga. In the beginning it was a little whirlwind confusing about how the characters meet and get together. And the almost obsessive love they have with each other can be a lot over-whelming sometimes. But their unending loyalty to each other can also be very very sweet. I think if I had anything I would change about the manga is it was incredibly long. I know there are manga that are significantly longer, but they have storylines that require the length. Really 2.5 stars.
On the one hand, the plot is catchy and the twists and turns kept me interested.
On the other hand, the heroine makes some of the dumbest decisions in history because the hero has a pretty face. Where are this girl's parents? Are Japanese fans really that hardcore? Maybe I'm to old to suspend disbelief and just go with the flow.
I got my hands on the entire series so I guess I'll see if things get better, hopefully starting with Aine (heroine) engaging her brain...
