Michael Swan is the man, the man who knows his stuff and the man who knows the anatomy of the learner and can anticipate the common mistakes a learner might fall into and correct them right away. I love reading everything he writes. I enjoyed this books pretty much as I enjoyed his other book Practical English Usage as it shows the common mistakes Arab learners , among others, might fall into as in mixing past tense with present perfect, etc.
