This book is highly informative and it puts things into perspective. Paul Root Wolpe doesn't try to put forward "the right way" of looking at things, he just explains several different angles and lets you decide which to adopt. His lectures are brief, well spoken, very interesting and above all...full of information. I highly recommend this to anyone who wishes to have any sort of opinion about any aspect of human basicaly to everyone :)

I appreciated being able to listen to an intelligent lecture on the topic of sexuality and enjoyed the compare and contrast of various cultures sexual practices and the changes over time.

While the material is somewhat dated, it was an instructional lecture that introduce some concepts that were at time thought provoking. This small collection of lectures was not intended to be a forage into this subject matter but more an introduction and study plan on the subject.

Very interesting and educational. Paul Root Wolpe falls into the same trap of grouping all social grouping activities in the same category, but does actually argue against doing that very thing, so some redemptions.

Disappointed with the course. The prof seemed biased, as in favoring homosexuality, not that I have anything against homosexuality. And the course involved lots of rote learning and skimming the surface and mere surveying of various information rather than focusing on the deep questions. And the guidebook was barely helpful, very uninformative & lacking substance, almost like the prof’s halfhearted, scribbled outline of notes for his own presentation. For example, one heading in the outline ...more

this lecture series contains absolutely nothing of value that one could not ascertain from a few minutes of thought on the topic. extremely outdated, a mid-90's over-liberal rant for issues which have largely been counterbalanced now.
TTC has much better series and far better lecturers. one could learn a hell of a lot more about sex and sociology and gain immeasurably more insights by reading Henry Miller's fiction.
