this was honestly hysterical. i wasn't expecting it to make me laugh but it really did.
it's about a boy named zack who goes to a chinese restaurant with his father and when he receives his fortune cookie, the fortune ends up coming true.

he goes back there once or twice to test it out and see if maybe it was a fluke, and he ends up on a mission to Wun Fat Sun bakery in Chinatown to meet Grandma Guy, the writer of these mysterious fortunes.

funny as hell. loved it. i can't remember if i was into

I liked about it because the fortunes were true. And the Grandma Guy was on TV at the end. I liked the ending. I liked it when Zach was like "how did the Grandma get there?" And how did the restaurant get to another place. The end was ambiguous. They were playing baseball and this guy on third base was sweating--that was the funniest part.

I love the short reading of Dan. He's writings are intelligent, and funny. And very short. That's what I enjoy about this book. But it has a way to pull adults in the story and keep you wanting to read more and more.
