I really liked Reeves character. It is fun to see a guy fall hard and fast. He is a fun-loving guy who has a good sense of humor. However, I didn't care for Jordan. I thought she was a bit wimpy. She went from one bad marriage to almost marrying another man just like the first one....more
There were plenty of love scenes and lots of misunderstandings that drew out the drama. But this book was written 30 years ago. Give just one character a cell phone and none of this plot can happen.
It read like a Harlequin: there's the guy she's expected to be with and then some dashing man shows up in her life and she's instantly attracted to him, but wait..she can't have him....well maybe she can....no, she shouldn't.... yadda, yadda, yadda. And the part where they sleep thro...more
Well, it did pick up a little and was a romantic diversion, which, I admist, I was looking for. So in that respect, it fit the bill.

this story is really absurb
sorry mrs. brown
i didn't get the point of your story this time
didn't we call someone who engaged and still rumbling with another is a cheater
still the fiancee forgive her, encourage her to live happily and make sure the journalist found her
i'll marry her ex fiancee anytime
It was okay. I read it in one evening. The main character, Jordan, was such a pushover and wouldn't tell Helmut her true feelings. It drove me crazy, which made me skim some of it to get past her weaknesses. Then you have Reeves, the one she loves, but he is so mean with his words and Jordan just takes it! Definitely a dated book...stand up for yourself girl!!
Having read other novels by Sandra Brown, I was quite disappointed with this one. The story-line was very limited and the characters didn't have much depth. The attitudes and naivity of the individuals were somewhat unbelievable, and even the love scenes were a bit tedious.
It was God awful. I'm not even sorry for the spoiler alert, since you shouldn't read it anyway.
