Dark Desires After Dusk is another fantastic book in the Immortals After Dark series.
I lovedalmost everything about this book. Cade and Holly, the hero and heroine, were simply magical together, and, frankly, a hoot. Holly–with her over-the-top OCD behaviorand her nerdish outlook–and Cade–a true but lovable cad–were the perfect pair and I couldn't seem to get enough of their offbeat and very provocative relationship.

I really really liked this and once more, I couldn't put it down. Cadeon was a great hero who had me laughing with his lines for the first half and really feeling his pain for the second. He had a really hard choice to make and I did like the way he handled it. He never strayed from the character we've come to know from the previous books, but managed to charm me and make me care for him.

I didn't expect to like Dark Desires After Dusk this much, but somehow I ended up really enjoying it.
I like to pick up a romance book from time to time, and I prefer historical romance, but last night I was craving for something para-normally/romantically/sizzling hot that had a " virginal miss goody two shoes meets an adorable but dangerous bad boy" vibe to it.

Another IAD book done… and still wanting more. Yes, I loved this one as well. Very much indeed *evil grin*. Now there can’t be a review of mine without me picking on the cover. WTF may I ask? I don’t see Cade looking like that AT ALL and another thing, where are his horns? Yes he may have cut them or something but still. I want Cade on the cover having horns. Is it too much to ask? A+, hilarious, smokin’ hot! Cade is one hot honey with his sexier than sexy South African accent and Holly just shines alongside him! He's rough around the edges but god does he ever know how to make her happy :D The sexual tension is there from the get go building right up to an explosion, lots of snippy dialog and banter between the characters. Kresley Cole did it again. This sixth book in the Immortal After Dark series was great!
Even though the key element of the series (where the hero and heroine come to terms with the fact that they are each other's fated partner) is the same throughout the books, Cole manages to give every book it's own twist. Each has it's very own feel to it, but all are romantic, steamy, funny and very entertaining.

Loved the sense of humor! I laughed at the snappy dialogue between the Holly and Cade--many times. "Whose car is it?" "Not mine." This is one I will have to re-read just for the great laughs! Wonderful characters. Nix! She's got to get her own story soon.

I didn't think I'd like Cade. I thought he came across as unfriendly in Wicked Deeds on a Winter's Night and I prefered Rydstrom. But... I was wrong. Cade turned out to be a great hero. He must make a very difficult decision: turn Holly over to the evil sorcerer and get the sword for Rydstrom OR keep Holly and let Rydstrom down AGAIN. I understood his decision and felt sorry for him. Again, Nix and her evasive advice seemed more hinderance than help, guess that's typical Nix.

I don't know how Kresley Cole's 'Immortals After Dark' series keeps getting better, but it does. Each book in this series has ramped up the plotline and put us further on the road towards the Accession. We've learned about Valkyries, Demons, Vamps, Lykae (weres), Ghosts, Phantoms, Wraiths, and Fae. (If I left any entities out, please don't hurt me.) Each with different strengths and weaknesses.

This is book 6 in the series and is the story of Cadeon Woede finding his mate. Books #5 and 6 from this series came out within a month of each other, so I read them back to back. As Cole often does, the stories overlap, which makes them even more interesting to read. Book #7 is due out in the fall, and my money is on a further overlap - Rydstrom Woede's story, which is hinted at in book 6. This story is set in modern-day America and is funny, sexy, and extremely entertaining. I highly recommend...more

I like most of the book 2/3's of it were good, really it was. It was the 1/3 of the book with Holly the incredibly unbelievable virginal, brainiac, PHD candidate, OCD'd out, inconstant character. *She wrecked the Veyron, how could anyone like a person that does that ?* I didn't believe in her at all, yeah I was shaking my head almost every time she opened her mouth or her thoughts.

So I started reading this series to fill the time till the next Black Dagger Brotherhood book comes out, but I've actually started to enjoy this series, and "Dark Desires After Dusk" might be my fave so far. I thought it was funny and sweet, and I caught myself laughing and smiling like a weirdo when Cadeon and Holly would banter back and forth.

Since the plot and characters are outlined elsewhere, I’ll keep it brief.
Immediately I felt thrown into the action, there’s no lag or drag, the action is right in your face from the first page although eventually the self defence classes tended to get a bit tedious but necessary as events unfolded.

I just plowed through the entire Immortals After Dark series in 5 days. I'm not going to bother reviewing all of them, even though I enjoyed every single one of them. I just wanted to comment on this one because it was my favorite. This book was HILARIOUS. I absolutely loved the banter between Cadeon and Holly. OMG these titles. Seriously. As bad as the covers! If I remember correctly the cheezy guy on the cover doesn't even match the description of the character of Cade. I thought Cade was blond or something. Anyways, just goes to show us chicks must be as much a bunch of suckers for looks too if they book that campy fellow on the cover and it sells more books.
