A word about ABC books. Nine times out of ten, they aren't made for kids. They just aren't. Take a gander at The Graphic Alphabet or Achoo! Bang! Crash! The Noisy Alphabet. Nine times out of ten, alphabet books are just an excuse for artists to let themselves work free and easy in a kid-friendly medium. Recommends it for: ghosties of all ages

Ryan Heshka illustartes inn that great old school Max Feischer style with a wild goth edge. This one's for the kidswho wish to learn their ABC's with monsters, as in "G is for Ghoul", "L is for Lugosi", etc. The artwork is witty enough for the parents and fun enough for the lil' carpet crawlers. Heshka rocks.

The illustrations are amazing but rather creepy and would be frightening to a small child. This is NOT a book for children (although it is an ABC book). It is definitely more appropriate for young adults and adults.

Cute, though maybe not something I would read to a three year old. Seems a little grown up for its target audience. Unless its target audience actually is grown ups?
