Beautiful collection of musings on both farm/ranch life and the need for conservation of wild areas. Nature + animals both wild and domestic = everything I need, and that was before the beautiful writing + photographs painted such a clear picture of the scene that it felt like being transported through both space and time.
This beautiful description of the Yamsi Ranch, 60 miles northeast of Klamath Falls, literally made me cry. Dayton Hyde is a rancher, naturalist and conservationist, dedicated to the land he loves. His book was written in 1971, a northwest reprint from OSU Press.
